Book of Choices

Prompt: Create a story centered on a mysterious and sinister book that, upon contact with blood, reveals choices to the reader. Each choice is unpleasant and laden with consequences. These choices should explore the depth of human decision-making in a supernatural context. We encourage creativity in exploring the theme. How does the book come into your character's life? What choices are they forced to make? How do these choices reflect their deepest fears and/or desires? Eligibility: Open to individuals who are at least 18 years old. Submissions must be previously unpublished works.

Submission Guidelines:

• Word Count: Between 3,000 to 5,000 words. 
• Longer submissions may be considered if they strongly align with the anthology's theme. (compensation caps at 5000 words)
• Submit in Times New Roman, 12 pt font, as a .docx or PDF file.

Submission Deadline: Rolling Submissions. 

Review Process: Submissions will be evaluated by a small team. We prioritize clean, well-edited writing that fits the theme. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent via email with more details.

Rights and Compensation: 

• We retain the rights to the anthology as a whole.
• Authors retain individual story rights with the option to republish elsewhere.
• Authors will be compensated at a rate of $0.01 USD per word.

Usage of Work: The story may be used in a printed anthology, digital format, promotional materials, and possibly an audiobook. The work may undergo editing for formatting and grammar.

Withdrawal of Submission: To withdraw a submission, email us at admin@wolfgrove.meda.

Legal Declarations:

Originality: Submitters must declare their work as original and not plagiarized.

Non-Infringement: Submitters must affirm their work does not infringe on any third-party rights.

Indemnification: Submitters agree to indemnify the anthology against legal actions related to their work.

Privacy Policy: Standard data protection and privacy practices will be followed.

Disclaimers: The anthology may not be published due to unforeseen circumstances.
